Astra supports Summer Superhero Appeal, helping some of Bristol's most vulnerable children

Astra Security are supporting the fundraising efforts of Unique Voice, who are raising vital funds to meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable children and families in Bristol.

With School holidays fast approaching, some families with no access to childcare, especially those experiencing socio-economic difficulties and multiple disadvantages will find it an extra challenge.  This is where Unique Voice can help.  They aim to provide two week-long holiday programmes for vulnerable children in a safe and creative environment, as well as delivering 100 Art Activity Packs, for those children who cannot access one of the holiday clubs.   The packs will also be delivered to those families without internet access, providing much needed ideas for stimulating children.  These include arts and crafts, drama activities, games, and colouring in.

Unique Voice have been providing free, targeted provision for children in Bristol for over 8 years, and Astra Security have been supporting them on their journey.

Dan Ford, Community Development Manager at Unique Voice said "COVID-19 has significantly impacted Bristol's communities. With Astra's donation, we are able to support many vulnerable families by supplying engaging activities to bring happiness and improved mental health.”

Paul Beet, Managing Director at Astra Security said “It’s such an important part of our ethos to support communities in this way and the work which Unique Voice does is amazing.  They offer vital services to those families and children in Bristol who need it most.   I wish them all the best in their fundraising efforts.”
