Joining Business Club may raise £30 000 for South West Charity
Astra Security has signed up as a member to Children's Hospice South West's Business Club, showing their support for the Charity in its 30th year. The Business Club has been set up with the aim of recruiting 100 businesses, each paying £300 for the membership, which could see £30 000 being raised for the Charity during it's special anniversary year.
The Charity has three children's hospices in the South West, where they provide vital care to over 500 children with life-limiting illnesses and offer much needed support for families.
Amanda Gallagher, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at CHSW said, “We are really grateful to Companies like Astra Security, who are helping provide much needed funding to support children and their families who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.” she went on to say, “By joining our Business Club, Astra can build connections with other members, raise awareness of their business, and help make a difference for local children and their families.”
Children's Hospice South West is the only children's hospice in the South West, and it provides a range of services including short breaks, specialist play, music therapy, activities for siblings, palliative and emergency care, bereavement support and specialist medical care – all available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Paul Beet, MD at Astra Security said, “Supporting CHSW through the Business Club provides the much-needed funding to support the great work that this Charity does. At the same time, it provides opportunities for businesses like ours to get together with other like-minded companies in the South West for networking and other opportunities.”
Supporting charities and local communities is an important part of the ethos at Astra Security, who understand the importance of giving something back. As a result, they support several charitable and fundraising initiatives across the region.
