Networked CCTV System fitted to Holland & Barrett flagship store on Oxford St
We were recently contracted by Holland & Barret to supply and install advanced CCTV into there new flagship store in London Oxford Street
The networked system incorporates high resolution cameras and Digital Video Recording. The system allows Loss Prevention staff and Operation Managers to monitor cameras across their IT Network enabling them to view and playback recorded footage without the need to go to site.
The system enables remote monitoring from any authorized PC displaying an instant overview of the store, very useful management tool providing real time online video information on customer and staff activity all from one location.

Camera equipment supplied to Geotek who carried out pressure core analysis and science support for successful Korean hydrate expedition
We supplied marine grade stainless steel camera observation and recording equipment to Geotek which they used whilst recently to carry out scientific surveys on board the ship Fugro Synergy.

Samsung Industrial Camera system installed into a Recyling Plant for Axion Consulting Ltd
We recently installed a ten camera system into a Car Recycling Plant using high resolution Samsung PTZ's. The cameras are used to monitor every stage of the recycling process for both Health & Safety and Process Management. All the cameras link back to a central control panel allowing the operator to move the camera using a single PC mouse. The cameras are also linked into the Weighbridge system enabling a snapshot image to be grabbed by the Weighbridge software every time a load is weighed.
Axion Consulting develops and operates innovative processing solutions for recycling waste materials. They have a wide range of clients within the recycling and process industries for practical development of new processing and collection methods.

Advanced Wildlife Observation Recording Systems supplied to FERA (part of DEFRA)

The Food and Environment Research Agency (FERA) was established to support and develop a sustainable food chain, a healthy natural environment, and to protect the global community from biological and chemical risks.FERA specialises in the sciences underpinning agriculture for sustainable crop production, environmental management and conservation and in food safety and quality. Fera has statutory responsibilities for delivering policy and inspectorate functions in relation to Plant Health, Bee Health and Plant Varieties and Seeds. FERA is part of the UK capability to respond to, and recover from, emergency situations, including accidental or deliberate release of hazardous materials.
For this particular project Astra have provided advanced portable Wildlife Observations Recording Systems enabling scientists to observe and record Badgers in the wild using high resolution night vision infra-red cameras.

Industrial Wireless Camera System for Monitoring a Production Process
We were contacted by a leading manufacture of Paper processing machines to design and supply a digital four camera system, that could be used to monitor their production process. Cameras positioned along the machine allow a single operator to monitor each stage of production.
All four cameras are viewed on a panel mounted touch screen monitor allowing individual camera selection and the choice of viewing all four cameras at the same time using a split screen format. The system records all the cameras direct to a hard drive allowing the operator to instantly playback footage when required.
The system is completely wireless allowing the flexibility to reposition the cameras as required without the need to run additional cabling.
The machines are shipped all over the world, most recently to China and Russia.

Full HD camera system installed for local County Council
Astra have just installed a HD camera recording system for Cheltenham Borough Homes (part of Cheltenham Borough Council)
The system is capable of recording in full 1080 HD format providing very clear identification of persons and vehicals being recorded. The HD cameras used provide up to 9 times the resolution to that of standard analogue CCTV cameras. Video is streamed over two kilometers away back to their head office to a recording PC via a Digital Wireless Link.
